Following his loan move from Wolves in January, life started tough for Kortney Hause at Aston Villa, with a number of rusty performances from the defender.
But there is no doubt that during Villa’s 4-0 home win against Derby County on Saturday, he put in his best performance in a claret and blue shirt.
The 23-year-old, who is a natural centre-back, played in the left full-back position for Dean Smith’s side, with Hause showcasing his pace, power and passing ability.
After the match, the highly-rated youngster posted this message to the club’s supporters on his personal Twitter account.
Needed a good performance today for the fans and delighted that we were able to deliver such a convincing win. Ohh boiii saturday evenings feel so much better when you get the W 😍🤪. Thanks for your support today #partofthepride #powerhause 💜🙌🏾 pic.twitter.com/dQuzMUOZh4

For some time, Villa have been looking for a full-back that can defend, stop crosses, be strong in a tackle and be a threat when going forward.
There is no doubt that Hause did that during his side’s emphatic win against Frank Lampard’s men as the Villa Park faithful will now be hoping that he can add consistency to his game.
Towards the end of the second half against the Rams, Hause did switch to centre-back because Tommy Elphick went off injured.
If Elphick remains on the sidelines then there is no doubt that Smith will switch the Wolves loanee to a more central role, with Neil Taylor returning to the starting XI.
