It was a memorable day for Aston Villa fans on Saturday when club legends Juan Pablo Angel and Martin Laursen returned to their old stomping ground.
Dean Smith’s side, who are chasing promotion to the Premier League, beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1, with Tammy Abraham and Tyrone Mings getting on the scoresheet.
But during the half-time break, former Villa striker Angel and former centre-back Laursen were paraded onto the pitch to a warm reception by the home support.
Here are a few pictures of the Holte End favourites receiving a rapturous welcome by the Claret & Blue army:

At the start of the 21st century, then-Villa manager John Gregory signed Angel from River Plate and the Colombian became an instant hit.
The hair-band-wearing goalscorer lead the Villa forward line for a number of years and scored some spectacular goals for the club.
Not long after, Laursen walked through the doors of Bodymoor Heath and he was part of a Martin O’Neill team that constantly challenged the Champions League places.
He was a man mountain at the back and even went on a little scoring streak during one stage of his Villa Park career. But unfortunately, his career was cut short and he was forced to retire in 2009.
