Marvelous Nakamba has been left unimpressed with Club Brugge turning down an offer for him from Aston Villa, according to a report.
The Chronicle previously claimed that Villa were weighing up an offer in the region of £20 million for the 25-year-old midfielder.
Now, French outlet Le Soir have reported that the Zimbabwe international has been left angry that his current club, Club Brugge, have rejected an offer of £10 million for his services from newly-promoted Villa.
Dean Smith has already purchased a player from Brugge this summer when he secured the signature of powerful Brazilian forward Wesley Moraes.
Nonetheless, it seemingly looks like that one of Villa’s reported targets has been rattled that he’s not allowed to make a move to the Midlands and to the Premier League.
Villa are yet to sign a central midfielder this summer, as they are looking for a specialist player that can fill that defensive-midfield role.
There’s no doubt that Nakamba can fill that role because his qualities suggest that he has the profile to play in a Dean Smith system.
But with a bid reportedly rejected, and the player unhappy, it remains to be seen whether Villa will pursue a move for him, or wait until things materialise further at his current club.
