Aaron Tshibola has stated on Twitter that he can’t wait to ‘start playing again’ after he left Aston Villa to move to Belgium’s top-tier.

The 24-year-old confirmed on his personal Twitter account that he is looking forward to his ‘new chapter’ as he leaves Villa after three years.

It has been a tough ride for Tshibola since his move to Villa in 2016, as he struggled to cement his place in the team following his switch from Reading.

During his time at Villa, Tshibola made ten appearances under two different managers – Roberto Di Matteo and Steve Bruce – scoring one goal, which came against Newcastle United [transfermarkt].

Despite his struggle to prove his worth at Villa, the fans still remember in a fond manner, as they wished him good luck in his future.

One supporter even mentioned that goal he scored against Newcastle. It was a late goal which came in 2016 and helped then-manager Di Matteo secure a point.

As mentioned above, it was pretty much downhill from then for Tshibola, whose task of wanting to break into Villa’s set-up became even harder when they earned promotion to the Premier League in May, and then went on to secure the signature of 12 players, including two new midfielders.

Here is a selection of Villa fans reacting to Tshibola’s Twitter message:
