Aston Villa could be on the verge of a huge mistake which would ruin the development of one of their most in-form and exciting academy prospects.
Over the years, Villa have had plenty of memorable names come through their academy. Jack Grealish became a modern-day legend at Villa Park as he helped the side get back to the Premier League.
Jacob Ramsey also came through the youth ranks and is currently a mainstay in the first-team.
However, the club is now at risk of ruining the development of one of its brightest young starlets in years if reports are to be believed.
Louie Barry is set to be recalled from Stockport County

Out on loan in League One is Aston Villa starlet Louie Barry. The Villa loanee has spent the last season and a half at Stockport County where he has helped them rise from the four-tier to a potential Championship outfit next season.
Throughout his loan spell, he has impressed massively. Going into game week 18, Barry has netted 13 goals in 17 league games with the Hatters fourth in the division.
Even Jude Bellingham has praised Barry’s form as he shines in the third tier.
As a result, according to Charlie Haffeden, Villa are looking to recall Barry in January.
While the plans are not yet finalised, it is likely that the 21-year-old will be sent out on loan to the Championship while also renewing terms with the Claret and Blue side.

Unai Emery would be making a massive mistake recalling Louie Barry mid-season

If Unai Emery goes through with recalling Barry it would be a massive mistake. As it stands, the attacker is one of the best players in League One and in the form of his career. By recalling him, there is a risk that you disrupt this and his momentum.
On top of this, by sending Barry out on loan to another Championship side, there is no guarantee that the club will suit the 21-year-old.
Barry has been out on loan to multiple clubs such as MK Dons and Salford where he struggled for success.
At Stockport County, it has clearly clicked for him which has helped him develop into a fantastic talent.
What Villa need to do is let Barry see out the season at the Hatters and then reassess his situation in the summer.
If the attacker walks away with 30+ goals and a promotion at the end of the campaign, that is far more successful than seeing out five months at a mid-table Championship side.
