Aston Villa boast an incredibly talented squad.

Villa Park is home to one of the most deadly strikers in the Premier League in Ollie Watkins, whilst captain John McGinn patrols the midfield behind him.

At the back the likes of Pau Torres and Ezri Konsa provide protection for a World Cup winning goalkeeper in Emi Martinez.

These players, along with all the others at Villa, are overseen by 52-year-old manager Unai Emery.

The Spaniard is a four-time Europa League winner and has the club on the brink of a historic season.

The Villans are strong favourites to take the fourth and final Champions League spot available through the Premier League and have a Europa Conference League semi-final against Olympiacos.

Who are Aston Villa’s best passers this season?

Emery is a coach who is obsessive in his attention to detail.

Through that dedication, the Spaniard has transformed Villa from a side struggling near the bottom of the table under Steven Gerrard to a side on the brink of Champions League football.

His side are incredibly well drilled but and play an attractive brand of football, but it is not one obsessed with possession but more what has players do when they get the ball.

This is demonstrated by their average possession of 54% in the Premier League this season according to Sofascore.

This is, of course, still above average but means that Villa’s players have to be efficient and accurate passing is key.

With that in mind, here are Villa’s five most successful passers of the ball this season out of all players to have played in ten or more league games according to Who Scored.

There are some impressive numbers in this list and the top performer may surprise you.
